Laying the foundation
Chiropractic care is like building a house – certain things have to happen in a particular order in order for everything to stand strong and work correctly. When building a house, if you tried to put up your walls before you had a solid foundation, your walls would be weak and eventually collapse. If you tried to put on your roof before the walls were ready, you would run into the same problem. The same is true for your body. Your body has to go through a particular plan of care in order to repair itself correctly and continue to function at an optimal level. There are three general phases of chiropractic care in our office . . .
Phase 1: Release Care
If you are in pain when you come into our office, our primary goal is to reduce the pain naturally without drugs or surgery. Additional goals include: releasing unhealthy nerve patterns (subluxations) and identifying and reducing unhealthy stresses in your life.
Phase 2: Rebuild Care
During the Rebuilding Phase, muscles and other tissues are allowed to heal more completely, thereby increasing your overall health and well-being. Additional goals include: eliminating unhealthy subluxations and lifestyle coaching, which includes giving you the resources to develop a "wellness" lifestyle.
Phase 3: Wellness Care
Where the first two phases of care are designed to correct past health problems, Wellness Care is designed to detect and correct unhealthy nerve patterns (subluxations) as they develop before they begin to cause health problems. The goal of Wellness Care is to allow your body to reach optimal levels of health and performance.
