January 2009: One day my husband gave me what we thought was trash, from the driveway, a plastic sleeve with "colored paper" and real pretty stones in it. I laid it on the couch...saying I would read later...throw away...and keep the pretty stones. A couple of days did go by... I did open it...and started reading. It opened my eyes and thought process Prior to this wonderful letter, I had to visit my doctor, for a (sore throat) "lymph" gland that was swollen (right side only). My doctor looked me over, and felt my glands, asking me if I had a cat? Te my reply, "yes." Looking on my arms, we found a small scratch that was healing. She diagnosed me as having "Cat Scratch Fever." (Actual medical name I could not repeat or much less spell it). She prescribed a Z-pack (1 week) and sent me on my way.
February 2009: One month later, I had to go back to my doctor with the same symptoms. They took blood and looked at my arms again. There were no new scratches. The doctor asked me to call if I had not heard from her by the following week. I did just what my doctor asked and called...no results.. called the next week, nothing back from the lab yet, and called back again the following week. (Mind you this is 3 weeks later). By the third week I am furious and I want to know something...I did not get to talk directly to the doctor. The doctor's assistant talked with me instead. She said that it looked like some kind of inflammation and the doctor wanted to see me in another week to take more blood. What for? So I can get shuffled around again? Besides, my symptomw were gone and I aws feeling much better. Deciding to try out what the "colored paper" suggested, I called and made an appointment with Mary to see Dr. Eulitt. Mary is so sweet and courteous. (Everyone in the office is, no doubt about it). Dr. Eulitt took x-rays and did thermal imaging, and whatever else was needed. Without saying anything about my previous experience with my doctor, I wanted to see for myself what the back can really do. When I came back in to see my x-rays and talk about my options...I was so relieved that I could be helped.
April 2009: I am happy to report that I have not had another problem with my lymph gland, and even if I did, I would let Dr. Eulitt try his hand(s) on me before I would take any unnecessary medications that would not be needed. The body is a beautiful and wonderful thing. LISTEN TO IT!!!!!!
